WALK TO DEFEAT ALS
This year I decided to join and am working on putting together a team for a local walk in Erie, Pa. This walk is for ALS.
Team My Hero With Tired Muscles was created in honor of my dad and the fight so many families face with ALS.
ALS is a devastating disease that slowly takes away a person’s ability to move, speak, and even breathe. Watching someone you love battle this disease changes your life forever.
Our family experienced that journey firsthand.
My dad was strong, hardworking, and someone who meant everything to our family. ALS may have taken his physical strength, but it never took his courage, love, or the hero he will always be to us.
We created this team to honor him and to help raise awareness and funds for the fight against ALS.
Every dollar raised supports research, patient care, and advocacy for those currently battling this disease and for the families standing beside them.
Every step we take in this walk is for those who are fighting, those we have lost, and those who will face ALS in the future.

ALS has become such a big part of my life after losing my hero. No family should have to go through the pain of losing someone to ALS - but so many do.
Going through everything with my dad changed so much for our family. It's what led me to start helping others in anyway I can.
I published a children's book, My Hero With Tired Muscles, in his honor - to help children understand that all emotions are okay during difficult times.
I've also started the My Hero With Tired Muscles Dream Trip Fund to help ALS heroes, like my dad, experience a dream trip.
I'm sharing my story when and where I can. There is so many ways to help those struggling. If you'd like to support in other ways, there are incredible organizations doing important work for ALS families.
